MK Electric Office
December 2024
MK Electric was my first real-world interior design project, and it set the tone for how I approach challenges with creativity and flexibility. We went from a blank concept to studs to final finishes in just two months—a fast-paced process that required quick problem-solving and decisive design choices. What could have felt like obstacles instead became opportunities to refine my vision and adapt the space with intention.
I handled everything from floorplans and elevations to finish selections, which meant I was hands-on through every stage. Along the way, I navigated curveballs like plumbing roughed in the wrong location and budget cuts halfway through, all while keeping the project moving and the design cohesive.
The aesthetic leaned modern and clean, with a professional edge that still felt inviting. I layered textures and finishes to bring warmth into a highly functional environment. One of the standout features was a dedicated golf simulator room—an unexpected, playful element that gave the project a unique personality and made the space feel truly one-of-a-kind.
Looking back, MK Electric not only challenged me to grow as a designer, but also taught me how to balance vision with real-world constraints and deliver a polished result under pressure. It remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my early career.
