Gilded by Golden State Cider was conceived as more than a tasting room—it was designed as a fully immersive escape into a world of refinement and warmth. The inspiration came from the historic connotations of the word “gilded,” evoking opulence, grandeur, and the artistry of gold leaf. From the start, my goal was to translate that feeling into a physical environment that balances modern clarity with the richness of Art Deco elegance.

The design process centered on layering simplicity with luxury. Clean modern lines were used to keep the brand’s values—authenticity, craft, and sustainability—at the forefront, while Art Deco elements brought in geometric detailing, jewel tones, and sumptuous materials to heighten the sense of sophistication. I worked through spatial layouts, lighting concepts, and finish palettes to ensure the design felt both timeless and inviting. Rich gilded frames and mirrors were paired with warm, moody lighting to create depth, while textures and materials were carefully chosen to give each corner a sense of discovery.

This thoughtful foundation created the stage for the experience itself. Guests can enjoy guided tastings, chef-curated food pairings, or even craft their own cider blend, all within an atmosphere that feels indulgent yet approachable.
